Haselnut Chocolate Pizzelles

These are wonderful.  You need a Pizzelle maker however and really don’t you think every woman should have a fun Pizzelle maker in her kitchen?  The beginning of each December I am invited to a Christmas cookie exchange party where our cookies are in competition with some of Hamilton, Texas’s best bakers.   The Pizzelles came away with a prize this year and rightly so, they are delicious.   This is a BHG recipe from their 2002 Christmas Cookie Magazine.

Chocolate Pizzelles

1 1/2 c. hazelnuts

2 1/4 c. all purpose flour

3 T. unsweetened cocoa powder

1 T baking powder

3 eggs

1 c. sugar

1/3 c. butter, melted and cooled

2 T. vanilla
